Raise your hand!

In media cubs, we have created a campaign called 'Raise Your Hand'. Raise your hand campaign aims at children aged 7-11 to give them a voice in the media. Everyone else has given their views and kids have not been asked. At my school, Big Boss (media cubs leader) came and she showed us many interesting things. She also told us to write down questions that we would like to ask the Prime Minister. One of the interesting things she showed us was something journalists use when they want to jot down something quickly, shorthand. Shorthand may just look like a bunch of squiggles but it is a written language that journalists study and understand.How to Take Faster Handwritten Notes Using Shorthand Techniques


A few weeks later, Jack, Sammy and I got to interview Andy Burnham (the mayor of Manchester). He seemed very honest with answers. If you want to take a look at the press conference, follow the link below.
Mr Burnham is a politician, a politician who kindly used his time to be interviewed by three kids running a campaign for kids. He was not the type of politician who thinks highly of himself, he is very thoughtful and considerate for others. 

A week or two later, Granada TV came to our school to interview us to put on ITV news. I was going to be on TV!!! For the whole morning, we were interviewed and they were taking videos of us setting up and doing what we would normally do in the newsroom. I was the camera operator, Sammy was the presenter and Jack was the director. When they were interviewing us, they asked questions like; what is 'Raise Your Hand' all about? or Why do you want to get involved? Big Boss has already asked sent some of our questions to Downing Street and she has also asked is we can interview Boris Johnson; he said no. Granada TV also asked us how we felt about Mr Johnson refusing to answer our questions. It was really fun. I got to examine the  enormous camera: the camera itself was 15 grand and the lens was 15 grand as well. This meant that there was a 30 grand camera in the room. Here is my review.↓ Introduction The Boy At the Back Of the Class is a great book by Onjali Q. Making Harry Potter Monopoly

Me with the game Two days ago, my mum had a fantastic idea to create our own Harry Potter Monopoly to play as a family. 😀We printed the paper for the board that I cut it out extra carefully. The next day, we got some unused cardboard and turned it into the gameboard. We printed the money and the title deed cards and cut them using the slicer. We used a recycled box to make the place to put the game and figures inside. Then, we printed the bottom for the box and stuck it on. After that, we wanted to print the top of the box but we unfortunately had no ink left!😞 At night, after we had iftar and salah, we played the Monopoly and it was AMAZING!!! We all were so into the game that we played until midnight!😅A few days later, the ink finally arrived and we printed the top of the box to complete everything. The game turned out to be spectacular. Pizza Pizza

Today, my mum suggested my sister and I make 3 mini pizzas for lunch. She also asked my brother to make brownies with her. We all woke up and opened our home school (I knew that I would have a lot of fun today because we had so much fun yesterday).  I decided to draw a greyscale (black and white), shaded picture of my blue, metallic hydroflask. I think it looks very realistic. Share what you think of my drawing in the comments. After that, my sister and I made the pizzas. Me with my drawing. I had to be very careful with the shading and I really did not want a single line out of place because I want it to look neat. I also put the shadow of my bottle to make it look even more realistic.
